Peaceful Calamity

Today is Byakuya's birthday so I'm glad I managed to finish this for it...especially after my laptop decided after 12 hours straight that it'd had ENOUGH and it was shutting down now, and then my internet kept dying...XD He's turning 243, or 25 in human years if I got that right ^^

The petals were by far the most fun and experimental part of the piece, and consequently also took the longest. I drew and colored each petal (technically I colored each petal twice now that I think about it) so I wanna say they ended up taking like 3 hrs. They're sposed to be Senbonzakura, but since his sword is sheathed it doesn't quite fit...just go with it XD

I worked on the sword a lot on purpose...I like how it came out so it looks like you wanna touch it just to feel the texture...but please don't if you value your life

Also, his eyes are not blue (they're more gray) but I had to pick a color that would stand out more so I chose a gray-blue...but it was quite hard...

The title is an oxymoron on purpose. The scene may look peaceful but looks can be deceiving...fatally so! ^^
